February

Giving back with Feed My Starving Children - One of the biggest highlights of the month was We Ride 4 Tucson volunteering for Feed My Starving Children. Our members came together to make a meaningful impact by packing an incredible 6,696 meals—each one helping a child in need. In addition to our hands-on efforts, We Ride 4 also donated $1,100 to support their mission. It was a rewarding experience, and we are proud to contribute to such an important cause.

We Ride 4 is Growing - With our continued growth, we recognized the need for additional support, and we are thrilled to welcome Melissa Baumann to the We Ride 4 team! Melissa is a long-time club member who understands the unique intersection of our non-profit and cycling club. She is now the WR4 Cycling Club Operations and Membership Manager. She will be a fantastic addition, helping us better serve our members and expand our reach. If you have any cycling-related questions or needs, Melissa is your go-to person!

Donorbox is Making Giving Easier - We are excited to announce that Donorbox is now live on our website! This platform makes it easier than ever to support We Ride 4 with recurring and custom donations. Your contributions help us continue to make a difference in children's lives through the power of cycling. Visit our website to check it out and consider setting up a donation today.

March

Thrive girl Thrive Jersey Donation - This month, we partnered with Gro girl Gro to support their newest initiative: Thrive girl Thrive. We donated jerseys to a group of incredible girls attending an inner-city school where over 38 languages are spoken. These students face daily challenges, but with the support of their mentor Jody Bartz and the Gro girl Gro community, they’re learning the power of sisterhood and cycling. The jerseys are more than just gear—they’re a symbol of pride, belonging, and being seen.

Evening Rides Are Back - With warmer weather arriving, our community is back on the road! Evening rides have started again, and it’s been wonderful seeing familiar faces and shared smiles on every ride.

April

We kicked off April by celebrating a major milestone—We Ride 4 turned five years old! In just five years, this community has raised and donated over $400,000 to youth-focused nonprofits across the country. It’s a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people come together to ride for a purpose.

In Denver, spring marked the return of our popular night rides, bringing fresh energy and excitement to the season. Meanwhile, in Tucson, we wrapped up another vibrant winter of riding—sharing miles with members from California, New York, Montana, Oregon, and beyond.

One of the most meaningful moments this month was surprising the girls from Thrive girl Thrive with brand-new WR4 jerseys and journals. Huge thanks to Amy Dunkelman for going the extra mile by adding personalized goodie bags—their joy was unforgettable and truly captured the WR4 spirit.

Whether you're new to our rides, a long-time supporter, or cheering us on from afar, you are a vital part of this community. Together, we’re creating lasting impact—one ride at a time.

May

As we rolled into summer, May gave us plenty of reasons to reflect with gratitude and inspiration.

We kicked off the month with our final ride of the season with the amazing girls from Gro girl Gro. Watching how they’ve grown—their confidence, their skills, and their pure joy on two wheels—was truly moving. They even surprised us with a beautiful framed picture they made as a thank-you gift. It’s something we’ll always treasure.

Working with Gro girl Gro and Thrive girl Thrive in Tucson continues to warm our hearts. These programs are a powerful reflection of why We Ride 4 exists—to empower, inspire, and support kids through the power of cycling. It was especially meaningful to see some of our Denver members connect with the girls this season. That cross-community connection is what We Ride 4 is all about.

In Littleton, the Cycling Without Age trishaw we donated is now officially out in motion—giving rides to kids and spreading joy along the way. We’re thrilled to continue partnering with CWAL this summer for more shared experiences and impact.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s the perfect time. We Ride 4 is more than a cycling club—it’s a purpose-driven community. Whether you're looking to connect, give back, or simply enjoy the ride, we’d love to welcome you.

Let’s ride, grow, and give back—together.

June

June was a powerful month for We Ride 4—full of rides, celebrations, and giving back.

We kicked things off by attending the Bicycle Colorado fundraiser, connecting with other nonprofits and sharing ideas to make our cycling communities stronger.

At our Season Kick-Off Party, we were surprised with a $1,000 donation from the Colfax Marathon team. In true WR4 fashion, we’ll be forwarding it to another nonprofit in need.

Our trishaw with Cycling Without Age Littleton was in action at the Diabetes Foundation Walk, giving kids living with diabetes the joy of riding with wind in their hair and smiles on their faces.

June also took us to South Dakota for our week-long gravel adventure. Stunning views, strong legs, and shared stories made for another unforgettable WR4 trip. The thank-you donations we received after the ride will be passed along to another deserving nonprofit—stay tuned!

We launched our 5-Year Anniversary Jersey, and it was an instant favorite. Due to high demand, we’re placing a second order so more members can show their WR4 pride in style.

We celebrated Bike to Work Day and Lookout Week with support from board member and sponsor Andrew Phillips (The Cyclist Lawyer), who hosted breakfast rides and daily 6 AM climbs that brought our community together.

Our Board Retreat was a full day of planning, aligning, and visioning. We’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful for the dedicated leadership that fuels our mission.

One of the most heartfelt moments came from our meeting with The White Line, as we begin planning a joint event to raise awareness for cyclist safety.

We closed out the month with Bike MS, where 39 WR4 riders raised $45,541 for the cause. Huge shoutout to Team Linda Lou and Primal–Audi Denver–We Ride 4 for leading with heart and riding with purpose.

Thank you for being part of this incredible movement. Let’s keep the momentum rolling into July!

June brought impact, joy, and unity—from trishaw rides to team fundraising at Bike MS!

July

July was packed with meaningful moments and community magic for We Ride 4!

We kicked things off with a unique fundraiser—donate $100, get a homemade pie delivered to your door, thanks to Amy Dunkelman’s incredible baking talents. It was a delicious success and a fun way to support our mission.

Our trishaw program with Cycling Without Age Littleton continued to roll strong. The trishaw was out on the trails bringing joy to passengers—giving them the simple thrill of wind in their hair and smiles on their faces.

Two of our members, Kevin Kelley and Tristina Swarts, joined us for a gravel adventure around Gateway Canyon—an experience they purchased at last year’s Big Event. From scenic views to shared laughs, it was a trip to remember.

We also launched our July Sale and wrapped up the month with our 3-day Road Adventure in Santa Fe. Great climbs, great company, and a whole lot of WR4 spirit!

Thanks to everyone who donated, rode, volunteered, or simply cheered us on.

Homemade pies, trishaw rides, gravel adventures, and Santa Fe climbs—July was a celebration of purpose and community.
